Inspiration

Inspiration and hope can be the best motivators for focus. Neuroscientists have shown that creativity springs from a relaxed mindful, flow state so it is important to carve out time for yourself to be in a place where inspiration can naturally occur.

Where and when do you feel the most inspired?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

CBT is the most widely used evidence-based practice aimed at improving mental health through developing personal coping strategies that target solving current problems and changing unhelpful patterns in thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors. Unlike traditional Freudian psychoanalysis, which probes childhood wounds to get at the root causes of conflict, CBT focuses on solutions, encouraging individuals to challenge distorted cognitions and change destructive patterns of behavior (Psychology Today).

As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives.
— Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862)
